Monsters in space
They told us we were alone
Drifting through space on our home
No one else to talk to
No one else to see
What they didn’t tell us was the danger
In front of our eyes
The billion little lights
In the dark, empty night
We were being watched
Evaluated, researched
We lived our lifes so freely
Unaware of the monsters around the corner
At night they discussed
What to do with us
The leaders we trusted
An alliance they shouldn’t have made
They sold our souls and bodies
To save their own small worlds
And when they signed the deal
There was no going back
They hunted and preyed
Slaughtered and killed
Killed our leaders too
Because we were never supposed to survive
We never should have believed
The lies about stars and night
Because when the monsters came to earth
The truth finally came to light
