Life Without You

Write a poem or short story about what life would be like without the person you care about the most.

Life Without You

If I lived my life without you I would’ve never grown Because if you hadn’t been there I would have taken my own Life without you Wouldn’t exist I was on the verge of dying When you saved me with a kiss It didn’t mean much to you But it made all the difference For if you had not came that day My life would end in violence Life without you Wouldn’t be life Because life with you Made me drop the knife

It’s not bad :) The only thing that stood out to me was the usage of the word “life” three times in a row in the last paragraph, and the last line containing the word “knife” makes for a very monotonous and sort of incongruent rhyme scheme especially compared to the other lines which sound much better to me as a whole.

The quality in the first two paragraphs is really nice but from then on it sort of feels like a different poem and the “flow” is a bit lost.

But overall it’s not bad, you have potential.

The topic itself is very sweet, the idea of someone saving your life with their love is very sweet. Have a nice day/night <3
