Write a story with an unexpected twist.
Consider the length of your story. It does not need to reach the max word limit to include a twist. One sentence can be enough. Consider, too, that a twist is not always a revelation, but can be subtle.
Maybe You Hurt Me
Do you ever think about that dress?
How about the back seat?
Or the taste of my tongue on your lips?
Cause it haunts me.
And I don’t know why I hold on to such foolish things.
Still tending to your hoodie.
Like it’s supposed to mean something…
Even now after every thing.
Because you don’t even miss me.
Can’t even say that you do.
Because your actions let all your true colors through.
Maybe I was just a mistake.
One that you were careless enough to make.
Never enough on my own…
Even if I gave you all I had in me.
What a pity.
