Like a bird from a cage,

I fly to join the clouds,

Escaping the grounds of rage,

Without a single soul stopping me.

Like a slumber used to flee,

I float alone in space,

Calmness overwhelming me,

Urging me to forever rest my spirits.

Like one broken from chains,

I rub my wrists with relief,

Practically unable to complain,

Estatic to feel the sunshine again.

Like a gift unbound from the wraps,

My true being is revealed,

Unconfined, under the scraps,

That used to painfully suffocate me.

Like a bird from a cage,

I am finally free,

Free to heal, assuage,

To allow my personality to breathe,
