Outcast

Always been the

Odd one out,

No social life,

No friends,

I could not

Blend in.

No place could be found

Where I felt as if

I belonged.

I was an

Outcast.

Hidden in my lonely corner,

Isolated and

Alone,

Nothing to call

My own.

The loneliness consumed me,

The pain became too much,

I don’t want to stick out

Like a weed in a field

Of wildflowers,

Not anymore.

So I

Changed

Everything.

No part of my old self

Could stay,

Had to be pretty,

Had to be popular,

Anything to get through the day.

New clothes,

New style,

New hair,

New interest,

New life,

New me…

New everything.

No longer was I a weed,

For my petals now shine,

I changed everything,

The old me had died,

But the change made them like me,

And that made it worth

All the hours I cried.
