POEM STARTER

The sky full of stars seemed dead and cold; a place once so magical now hurt to behold.

Write a rhyming poem that ends with this line.

Dead Love

In the glow of dusk, our laughter would twine,

We danced through the days, hearts blissfully aligned.

But shadows crept in, whispering doubt,

What once felt like joy now echoed about.

We painted our dreams on the canvas of night,

Each stroke was a promise, a future so bright.

But colors grew dull, the palette turned gray,

As love's gentle flame began to decay.

Conversations grew shallow, words held their breath,

The passion that flourished now danced with regret.

We wandered through memories, both tender and sweet,

Yet silence replaced what used to be heat.

Like seasons that change, we drifted apart,

Two ships on a tempest, lost in the dark.

Once hand in hand, now we stand on our own,

What felt like forever is now overgrown.

You were my sun, my moon, my guiding light,

But the paths that we walked turned obscured in the night.

And though I will cherish the days by your side,

The love that we nurtured has withered and died.

As I gaze at the heavens, tears start to fall,

For the magic we shared, now feels like a thrall.

The sky full of stars seemed dead and cold;

A place once so magical now hurt to behold.
