The Burden of Memory

Poetry

Memory

It shifts and twists in every direction

So much that

You might have had a sandwich for breakfast yesterday

And it’ll tell you you had a Rice Krispee bar

So

This burden of memory

Of truth

Is that it sometimes isn’t even the truth.
