Write a story with an unexpected twist.
Consider the length of your story. It does not need to reach the max word limit to include a twist. One sentence can be enough. Consider, too, that a twist is not always a revelation, but can be subtle.
3 years wasted
A moment in between my thighs…
Made way for the hidden truths,
To unravel all of your lies.
You’re vile…
Disgusting…
A human with no empathy,
What a tragic thing.
Lit me up,
Just to dowse out my flame.
Don’t you feel anything?
On to the next one,
Time and time again.
Were we ever really “friends”?
Sick to my stomach
With how sweet the lies tasted…
Even sicker still,
Of all the time that I wasted.
