Delirious

It doesn’t matter,

‘Cause I know it’s “nothing serious”

Even though through all this chatter,

I’m delirious.

I’m thin and guys talk to me,

I’m living any girl’s dream,

I guess, but it really isn’t, you see,

My life is tearing at its single seam…

Late for school because I’m so out of it,

Bottles rattling in my backpack,

How did I get into this shit?

Common sense is probably what I lack.

I had no social skills,

In the wrong crowd, what I learned

Is how to love and hate the thing that kills,

Yet it’s a business now and my relaxation I’ve surely earned.

I know this path

Will be the death of me,

They all laugh,

But can’t they see?
