POEM STARTER
Fire and Flames
Write a poem where fire is the central theme, whether this be physical or a metaphorical burning.
Fire, Flames, Water & Waves
I was the fire, but you were the flames.
I burned until they extinguished me,
but you managed to stay, remain.
You were the water, but I was the waves,
your plans were the winds, the Moon,
I depended on them, needed them, craved-
You were the air, but I was the wind,
I was strong, but you were well-needed,
they had lungs for you, but for me, broken skin.
I was the fire, but you were the flames,
I was the main part, but you didn’t falter.
You were pretty, but I was to blame.
