POEM STARTER

βIf desires are a flame, then I am a wildfire.β
Use this line to inspire a poem or short story.
Scorch.
If desires are a flame,
Then I am a wildfire,
Scorching rational thoughts,
Hiding it from my path.
Starting from lightning,
Ending with ash and sparks,
Eating at my heart,
These feasting flames.
Roars and crackles fill the air,
And I feel like Iβm losing my head,
It burns, it hurts, it bleeds,
With red and orange ablaze in my pleads-
In the heart, I beg for help,
Beg for my lust for things to go away,
Good things arrive to those who wait,
But a fire is never patient.
The fire continues to grow,
The more I sit and wait,
Pondering, pondering,
Without being doused with what I ache for,
With disaster left behind.
