The Wise Words Of A Grandma
My grandma always told me, a lot of things…
She told be to be kind, you never know whose day you’ll make by just being kind.
She told me never go to bed angry at someone you love, tomorrow is never promised.
She told me to be brave, to speak up for what is right.
She told me that silence is golden, some things are better left unspoken.
She told me to use my manners, that they’ll get me a long way.
She told me to never speak with a mouthful of food and that chewing with your mouth open was rude.
She told me to never allow someone to be in control of your happiness, only you control your own happiness.
She told me that it’s okay to not be okay and to not be afraid of telling those who you love.
She told me that life is a journey and only you control what is written in your future.
She told me that hate is a powerful word and it should be used sparingly.
She told me that love is blind, you do not need to see it, you can feel it if you really listen.
She told me to never miss a chance of telling someone that you love them, tomorrow they may be gone.
She told me that seeing wasn’t necessarily believing, there is alot of things that are hidden from the eye.
She told me that staring is rude unless you’re welcomed to.
She told me to respect my elders, they are full of wisdom and you never know what you can learn from them.
She told me to always pick up a book, knowledge is power.
She told me that being bored is just a state of mind.
She told me that my mind is a very powerful thing and I should use it wisely.
She told me not to lie and to be true to myself.
She told me that laughter is the best medicine.
Yes, my grandma always told me a lot of things, she was wise and always had something to teach me.
Although I didn’t understand them at the time and it took lessons to learn these things, I do understand them now and live by them each day.
She may be gone from this earth but she still lives within in, inside my heart.
