POEM STARTER
Don’t let yourself float away to the moon, or you’ll miss the flowers under your feet that bloom.
Write a poem which incorporates this line.
Bloom
You may think there is a greater future up there
But if you need to look, look here
If you get to close to the stars,
You’ll never know what’s been waiting down here for you
Don’t let yourself float away to the moon,
Or you’ll miss the flowers under your feet that bloom
Don’t say I didn’t warn you
When your alones with you and yourself
Because the moon is barren rock
While here is where life thrives
You may think it’s not true
That you have to stay grounded
Because you want to be higher than everyone
You don’t know the cost, but I do
I think you know it’s true
Don’t let yourself float away to the moon,
Or you’ll miss the flowers under your feet that bloom
You can’t see the future
You only see that torture
You look down at your feet
Telling yourself to believe
And a flower starts to bloom
Then you here a boom
It’s all in your head
But you know it’s true
Then you say,
Don’t let yourself float away to the moon,
Or you’ll miss the flowers under your feet that bloom
We walk that path together
You know it’ll be forever
You see that flower bloom
Now you know it’s true
