The battle had raged on for days. Heavy losses had been earned on both sides, but we were finally making progress. That was until IT crawled out from the wreckage.

Unlike the other creatures which looked like humanoid sized spiders, this one was larger. Much larger. The fangs protruding from its mandibles were easy the length of two humans and appeared that they would easily penetrate our armor. It was also covered in titanium like scales with spikes protruding from ever angle.

Our platoon stopped and stared before I came back to my senses and roared, “Fire!”

As we unleashed hell fire at this new beast. My hopes of returning to my wife and child faded.
