I have been betrayed and battered by the thoughts of you leaving. Ever since I layed my eyes on you, I just knew you’d cause me great pain but I couldn’t help myself but feel lured in, like a young moth being captivated by the bright shine of a bug zapper. I knowlingly set myself up, edging on the future, I knew deep down that you were going to be but a burden to my peace.

I had made my decision to advocate my feelings for you, it was great at first. The young love, the joy you brought me. All turned to hell when you let your true self show. You began ordering me around, leaving me but a mere crack for air. I had begun spiraling down into a perpetual loop of saddness. You no longer caused butterflies in my stomach, instead, I was left with this aching of emptiness in the pit of my abdomen.

I had been lost without you, but I’ve also felt trapped without. I just need to let go.
