Not Our World
I always knew I was different, an outcast. An alien in human flesh, destined to wander this strange planet alone. Then I saw him, sitting across the cafeteria.
He was an outcast, just like me. Both of us not belonging in this crazy ass world. Both of us not knowing what’s crawling inside our skin, just knowing we don’t belong here, that we were never made to fit in this world.
I always thought that I was invisible to the naked eye, until he looked back at me. We both knew we were the same, not human. Our eyes were the same shape but different from any others. We walked the same, talked the same way; I’m not alone anymore. Him and I are just two aliens trying to fit in this crazy ass world humans call earth.
