Could you be here for me,

When nobody else is there?

And my desperate attempts to talk my mind will fall on deaf ears?

Can you see me?

Could you study me on the surface and beneath my skin?

Or will you crush my self-esteem, my personality?

Will you be too blind to perceive me from within?

Can you speak to me?

Could you share your own experiences, good or bad?

Or are you the type to respond rudely?

The type to purposely ignore me until I grow mad?

Please don’t abandon me like the others,

Instead, rescue me from the deep dark,

I beg for the compassion of another,

How will you leave your mark?
