It started with a smile

It continued with a laugh

It grew with a compliment

It flew with a small touch

It was full with a confession

It burst with a kiss

It was complete with hands in hair

And jokes at midnight

And calling to ask about your day

But then it ended.

I forget what happened. I can’t remember.
