The Big Reveal
She stared at me as if I was a puzzle she was trying so desperately to solve. “There’s something you’re not telling me, Alex, I just know it.” Says Lavender.
Lavender is my roommate, and she’s one-hundred percent sure that I was hiding something from her. Like, where’s the trust?! Okay, well, I must admit that I am hiding something.
In my defence, she doesn’t need to know EVERYTHING about me. Nosy much? “No, I’m not. Why can’t you trust me for god’s sake?” I yell angrily.
“I- you don’t have to yell…” She says. “DONT HAVE TO YELL?! YOU’VE BEEN ACTING LIKE A DETECTIVE FOR GOD’S SAKE! WELL GUESS WHAT, LAV? YOU DON’T HAVE TO KNOW EACH AND EVERY LITTLE DETAIL ABOUT MY LIFE!” I scream, and then put my hands on my mouth.
She backed away, and started sobbing. Ughhhhh I don’t have time for this. “No, please, stop crying. I’ll tell you my secret, okay? Just shut up, please.” I say covering my ear.
She wipes her tears, and says, “Okay, I’m ready. Tell me what you’re hiding.” I couldn’t believe I was doing this. “If you ever tell ANYONE, trust me, it’d be the last thing you do.” I threatened.
“Okay, I promise I won’t tell anyone.” She says putting her hands up in the classic “I-give-up” gesture. “Okay, hold my hand.” I say.
“What?” She says confused. “Shut up, and do what I tell you.” I say. She holds my hand, and we teleport underwater.
“I’m the queen of the world underwater. That’s my big secret, and now you know.” I say. I look at her for a response, and I see her struggling to breathe.
“Right…. Humans can’t breathe underwater. Whoops! Oh well, at least now I know you won’t tell anyone.” I say.
Eventually she passes out and I let her sink in the deep ocean.
That’s what she gets for not minding her own business.
