Crimson and Sky (part 7)

(WARNING: this part has fighting and hostile descriptions in it)

All the creatures of the two clans gathered behind their rulers, baring their teeth at the overly hostile Clan Of Water creatures. The one in the front quivered, but kept a fiery gaze that burned straight into Sky’s pelt.

“Coral! Reef! Rush back to camp and alert Aqua! Tell her to bring every one,” she barked. She had teal scales and a light green tail, with pretty fins that danced in the wind.

The two creatures in the back darted off, leaving three of them. “What do you want?” She spat, her voice showing no care. Sky crept forward and met her face, “you know why we’re here stupid!” She growled. The three remaining creatures hissed and swiped at Sky’s face, missing her by a whisker. Before anyone knew it, Sky launched on top of the hostile creature, catching her off guard.

With that, the three others jumped in to help the surprised director. Crimson and several others clawed at their backs, and heaved them off of Sky, clawing their tails. Sky sprang up, her back arched up and her mouth curled into a snarl. Scratches ran down her pelt, but she still had a glint of challenge in her shocked crystal eyes. Crimson bristled, and every other creature cornered them, letting them know they wouldn’t make it out if they attacked once again. The lead one let her fearsome gaze rest, “I’m Seaweed, and this is Squid and Prismarine.” She flicked her scratched tail to them. Both of them didn’t like that she had revealed their names, but replied with a curt nod.

“What do you want from us?”

“Peace, Seaweed. We want peace between the Clan of Water and us.” Sky spoke thoughtfully. Seaweed looked at her with a discussed look, “peace is not for me to decide,” she stated. Crimson stepped forth, “but Aqua can, bring us to her shall you?” He spoke challengingly. Seaweed’s scales arched along her back, “you can wait until they get back.” She hissed. “Who knew these creatures could be so rude.” Sky hissed under her breath to Crimson.

After a long stare down, tens and tens of Clan of Water creatures emerged from the undergrowth, hissing and snarling with their shiny claws forth. They moved to the side as a mixed colored creature emerged. She had a diamond colored tail and eyes that sparkled with beauty. She came to the rulers with a calm trot, but had her gaze narrowed. She dipped her head slightly to them, “greeting, Sky and Crimson.” She began, “I’m Aqua, ruler of the Clan of Water.” She breathed, pride raising in her voice.

The Clan of Clouds and Forest’s rulers let their guard fall slightly, “greeting to you as well, Aqua. We stand here because of your doing.” They said. Aqua suddenly bristled, and so did the others of her clan, “nonsense” she barked. Sky stepped forward, “correct yourself, it’s true, and you know that better than anyone else.”

Aqua didn’t like the talk back, she snarled and let her tail bristle. “So we crossed borders? Are you not seeing that you are doing it yourself?” The Clan of Water ruler said coldly. Sky and Crimson glared, “we crossed them for justice. You crossed them because you think you can get whatever you want.”

Aqua had enough. “Attack!” She called.

And with that, the battle had begun.
