They say ‘When life gives you lemons,

You’re supposed to make lemonade’.

But I’m already drowning in bitterness.

I’m not sure how much more I can make.

All my life I’ve had to overcompensate

for my lack of faith with an abundance of lemons that I don’t have the energy to squeeze.
