Congratulations
Congratulations
I tried so hard,
Put you way before me,
You didn’t go near that,
Instead you were the bully.
I don’t like nasty labels
and don’t use them much,
But you pretended you cared
Then suddenly you went ghost.
Congratulations
I gave you the shirt off my back,
Literally,
And I saved your family,
But you couldn’t care less
So I wish you the best
But I won’t be here for you again.
I owe you nothing but I’ll say thanks anyway,
For reminding me why I don’t even want friends.
Congratulations
You pulled the wool over my eyes,
And the rug from underneath me
Without a thought
Or reason
But it’s okay,
And I hope one day
You are able to find your way,
But I cannot stand to stay,
Congratulations
You won,
For whatever it’s worth,
I had no idea that we were playing a game,
Let alone knew the rules,
But it doesn’t seem that playing fair
Is really your thing
Anyway.
But that’s okay.
Congratulations.
I am done.
I won’t be here
To fall back on.
Consider me gone,
Like the love and trust
I had for you
Not long ago.
So congratulations.
