I’m like a black cat

Looking down on people

Unamused

I want attention

But will not ask

Seen as bad luck

If you cross my path

It’s selfish to want

To be so needy

I want your presence

In the room I sit

Maybe light chatter

That’s all I ask

It’s a lot I know

But one day I’ll find

Someone who sees me

Even though I’m greedy

And loves me so much
