He glances at her, he feels his throat close.

He stares and stares at her features even as he feels the bile rise.

Rise up and up just like her gaze until it pounces on him, his own eyes taken aback by the attention of hers.

She is reeling, her heart pounding yet slowing as she takes in his attention, feeling sick.
