'I don't want to stick out like a weed in a field of wildflowers.'
Use this sentence to inspire a poem or short scene.
Hidden within
I can't, you know
compete with them
Everyone is so tall so beautiful so—
Pink, and I'm just..
I was born like this, right?
Leaves like mine don't grow nothing but vines and thorns
I cover the fields yet I'm unseen
Unloved
I can't compete.
I won't.
I don't want to stick out like weed in a field of wildflowers
A forgotten seed boasting with the little it has
But it knows it came from shit
The bull, the bird, whatever breed I couldn't satisfy then
the ones that swallowed me whole—
Looking for gratification
But dropped me to my death when their stomach churned
Into this field
Where everything is so tall so beautiful—
So pink
And I'm not as pink as you
or as tall
I walk halls with my head tilted down
I soften my voice
I'm often alone, like I have my own thing
Cause I have nothing to offer
I sneak glances
At you dancing with the blue hues
So beautiful
I know I cant compete
