STORY STARTER

Write a story exploring the idea of being forgotten.

Whether it is the narrator that has been forgotten, or an item, or a place, see what ideas come to mind for this narrative.

The Struggle Of Virtual Learning

I sit at my desk

Staring at the blindingly bright screen

In a tee shirt and pajamas bottoms

It still hasn’t happened

I tap my fingers aimlessly against the keyboard

And try not to get too stressed

Will I miss this?

How will I be able to ask questions?

The blank screen stares back at me reading,

“Please wait, the host will let you in soon”

But it still hasn’t happened

I look at the clock in the bottom corner

It says 12:45

Fifteen minutes late

Not again

Everyday for the past few weeks

Am I still being forgotten?

Beautiful. I can relate exactly to this feeling.

This is amazing :)

It’s really simple but still conveys that same type of insecurity that I often feel these days.

So true and well done!

Ah the struggles of online school has affected us all. This poem represents what many students had to go through since the pandemic. This is wonderful
