I used to hate the color pink, simply because people said it was for girls.

All the girls around me loved pink so little me..

I loved blue.

Blue was a boy color.

So I tried to hang out with the boys.

They didn't like having a girl around.

As I got older, I realized maybe pink wasn't such a bad color.

Hot pink wasn't very pretty, but a light pink was.

A dark pink could still look good.

Pink wasn't the problem.

The color's association with femininity was.

It is still a pretty color but..
