POEM STARTER

They say forgiveness is a virtue, but I’d rather keep my anger.
Use this line as inspiration for a poem.
For My Ex
They say forgiveness is a virtue, but I’d rather keep my anger.
The only point in forgiving is to avoid falling into danger.
But when there’s no chance to forgive for the lies you told,
Or the actions you took to make against me to make you bold.
Really, I can’t take it anymore, because every night and day
It feels like a aerated knife against my heart, slowly peeled away.
So why should I care about you when there’s nothing left to give.
I think about every word I said and everything I did.
I tried so hard to be a good person, my values hard at work,
But every day you made me feel like I was a walking curse.
So, really what do you expect? What am I to do,
When the only crime I have committed was ever loving you?
So, basically, I’ll sum this up, as I breathe and live,
What you did was abhorrent, and only God can forgive.
