I’m a sacraficial lamb

I hate to admit it but I am

It’s not noble or fair

To give yourself because you care

I do it again and again

My experiences need to end

People will tell you that’s not true

In order to continue taking from you

I’ve learned the need to be selfish

It’s okay to not always be selfless

I no longer care what people say

Or feel the need to live their way

I’ve done enough in my time

The rest of my life is just mine
