I lost you today

I don’t know what else to say

My eyes are waterfalls

That won’t stop coming down

Your light used to shine

All throughout my hearts town

My heart feels ripped open

I can’t get enough air

Because you aren’t here

To filter it and care

I love you still

And will never forget you

I couldn’t if I tried

It’s my fault partly

I was selfish

I didn’t give you what you should’ve had

And I realize that

But now you will live

Through the pictures I hold dear

And I will write stories

And read them for you to hear

I hope you see me in heaven

And hear my pleas

Because I don’t know what to be

Without you watching over me
