Write a descriptive poem which portrays a busy city.
You could use metaphors, imagery, and appeal to the senses, to really capture the feel of a city.
The City
The lights are on
Cars honking
Black sky with no stars
It’s bustling in the city
All day and all night
The buildings are high in the sky
People up late late partying
Some crying over their day
Some in an act of fun
The city is always awake
No matter time of day
But it beautiful no matter when
Always wanted to visit the city
