Submerged In Evocation

I drowned in the sea

Full of childhood memories

I swam up to the light

So mesmerizing and bright

I grew nearer and near

To the surface where everything seems clearer

Except my eyes began to blur

And my words began to slur

For the light was so bright it burned

And the unknown pressure in my head churned

So I turned back

Swimming down on a different track

Deeper and deeper

My body became weaker

The obsidian’s darkness creeping

Cold and hollow; seeking

Latching onto my memories

Greedy for its unfavorable treasuries

Enlightening me of the harsh reality

Swollen and infected with evil cruelty

Alas the light in my eyes died

Now cloudy and fried

From the happy sunshine’s beguile

And the obsidian’s sinister smile

Washed ashore was my childhood joy

Hidden beneath the sand as the oceans last ploy
