Write a poem about a moment in life which seems fleeting.
Maybe it's a moment you wish could last longer, or a short period of pain that goes away.
First Brush
Your hand on the dial
To turn the sound down
I reach for it at the same time
Instinctively
To turn it up.
My hand rested on yours
a moment too long
Just a fraction of a second
too long
For being “just friends”
too long
In that moment
I knew all I need to know about us.
