The Ocean

A world within our world,

That few of us have been,

Submerged below the surface,

Mysteries never seen

A myriad of corals,

Of creatures we don’t know,

A place so full of wonder,

But few would like to go

Many lives been lost,

Taken by the waves,

Pulled beneath the surface,

The seabed now their graves

Vessels float on top,

Not knowing what’s below

Transporting many goods,

Some fast and some so slow

Waters that surround us,

Threatening our coasts,

Many know of tales,

Of ships that hold some ghosts
