There are pieces of me I haven’t yet uncovered.

And there are fragments of my heart shattered.

Before I can know these pieces, I have to mend myself.

But that means looking back into the past.

There’s blood on those pieces of memories - _my own blood. _

And looking back is a wound I don’t want to uncover,

Haunted, scary, broken wounds - _on my own body_

Those pieces of me I haven’t uncovered will be the same

Which is why I am not mending my past puzzle pieces.
