It started out of protest,

Bored of rotting from AI,

And writing I didn’t mind,

So I wished much for the best.

My stories were far from pleasing,

But it was all worth the disgust,

My brain took notes, I did not rust,

My alleged skill rose breathing.

My few attempts at poems did well,

A talent that never peeked at me,

Feedback whispering, beckoning me,

A call that rose me from my shell.

And it only flourished from there,

I honed my skills, grew every day,

Met some great friends along this way,

I show them all that I am there.

There is a lengthy road to mastery,

And I’m grateful for this unending trip,

I vow to never let myself fall, slip,

Painfully thankful, I do have to be.
