Tingles
A’kao always had questions even from when he first landed on Earth. He was sent to study the behaviors of humans and ended up with a sort of outcast human it seemed. His name was Theo and he heard differently than most humans and he was harrier. He didn’t mind but it made Theo all the more interesting. It was fun staying with him and it helped him understand so many things about humans. It especially helped him understand this emotion humans called love. Theo tried his best to explain it.
“Love is a special thing it only happens usually with select people. It can be romantic or in a companionship sort of way. When it’s romantic it usually happens between you and one other person.”
“Me?”
“Well between just two people?”
“What does it feel like?”
“It feels- it feels kinda like a tingling feeling in your belly and your face gets warm and you can’t focus on anything else”
A’kao nodded and looked at Theo, feeling a bit of the tingles Theo said in his belly. His eyes were bright and he reached out to touch Theo’s hair.
“What are you doing-?”
A’kao stayed silent and did something that people of his culture did with someone they cared for. He cooed in a strange way and weaved his fingers through Theo’s hair, pressing their foreheads together while he closed his eyes. Theo closed his eyes too and blushed softly. He didn’t quite know what this was but he allowed it to happen. It didn’t seem sexual or bad so it didn’t seem worth stopping. A’kao opened his eyes and smiled at Theo with his eyes closed, watching as they fluttered open. He reached his hands out to hold Theo’s face. His eyes were so soft and welcoming it seemed as though he had some human magic powers. A’kao was completely mesmerized by human beauty.
