Little Rabbit
“Run little rabbit!” She laughed as she ran after me. “Run! Run! Run!” She giggled. I jumped over the end of the slide i once played on for hours. “Stop!” I screamed kowing it was futile. She only lauged more as she effortlessly skirted around the slide. I sped up and jumped onto the wooden play house. I hoped with every broken bone I had that it who’d slow her down. And it did. But only barely. “Little rabbit!” She screeched. “I’m gonna catch you!” I didn’t have the breath to andswer. I always love the name little rabbit since the day she came up with it. But I don’t think I’ll ever be able to hear it again without my stomach realing. That is of i even survive this. I climbed higher my feet slipping. But I can’t stop. “Why! Sister, why whould you do this?” I asked my voice barely a whisper. “Oh, so close!” Her fingers slimed the end of my frilly pants as she tried to grab me. I slid down the slide and jumped to my feet instantly. There was no were to run where she can’t find me. I jumped onto the swings and threw myself on top barely holding my balance. “No were to run little rabbit.” She smirked. “Oh there is,” I grinned “you and me used to spend hours here. Remember?” I jumped farther climbing the play house that was attached to the swings. “No.” She said suddenly not sounding so sure. “We pretended to be animals and I was always a rabbit. You were always a dog. But you protected me instead of hunting me like other people would,” She hung back grabbing her head in pain. I reached the top. “And you said you’d never hurt me.” She stood still staring at me wide eyed. “I’m not gonna make you brake that promise.” I said as I let go the of the tower. I felt the rush of wind as I fell and then it was my head hitting the stones underneath. May my blood seap into the ground I once loved. “L-little rabbit?” My sister said as she climbed down carefully. “A-are you dead?” I didn’t andswer as I couldn’t. It was more like I was looking at the scene from afar. “Little rabbit dont go.” She cried. But I couldn’t come back. She hugged my body before she left. “Little rabbit. I’m sorry.” She whispered.
