The Sound of Silence
Silence.
It’s like peace ringing through my ears
Peace wand’ring ‘round my head
Keeping me calm in the state of silence
Yet I’ve never heard the sound of silence
There always
People talking
Dogs barking
Footsteps walking
Cars parking
Wind blowing
Doors closing
Water flowing
Echos reposing
The sound of silence,
always amiss.
So…
does it really exist?
