POEM STARTER
Inspired by Silver_Fox
If your hand could reach inside my heart, what would you do with it?
Write a poem with this as the opening line
not my first time
thoughts dripping away
like steady rain
leaving droplets to fall
slowly down car windows
i hadnt known
souls could intertwine this way
for the first time
pressureless
you’re the first to feel real
to feel comfortable
to feel okay
we lay together
skin to skin
hand in hand
heart to heart
i wait for the sinking feeling
wait for the nausea to set in
but for the first time
butterflies replace the urge to vomit
if your hand could reach inside my heart
what would you do with it?
i feel confident
that if i never let you touch my skin
see beyond the fabric
you’d run your fingers through my hair
and call me beautiful
