Light comes and passes leaving us in this darkness,

Harmonious hearts are beating hopeless,

Lost souls are longing for the touch of lights.

We are fearing the day when everything ends

Just like birds have fear of falling on the ground.

The cold is leaving a scar on those who love,

Just like life is leaving many of us as cold as stones.

We are surrounded by these blue waters,

They cover us and make all that’s left disappear,

It’s easy to drown in your own salty tears

But these tears of gold are never lost away.

Waters know what it means to be battered to and fro

Like children know how life comes and goes,

But this world is begging us to play

Hymns of love and not of pain, in our long and frightening way

And to look at the sky and say that there will always come a brighter day.
