I’m too scared.

I walk one more circle of the kitchen, eat one more carrot stick.

I approach the washing machine.

I can already see. It’s pink.

I take the singular offending sock out.

The shirts are all pink. All of them.

I prayed this was one of my smallest mistakes. My prayers were not rewarded today.
