The Rain
Dark, sad, heavy, and rain.
The two friends, walking around town, did not plan for their night to end like this. They had originally been with their friend group, going around town and finding places to have fun in. The start of their night was incredible, the end… almost tragic.
It all went down hill, at the arcade.
“Lisa! Anna! Let’s keep moving, there’s more than one game here!”
A boy name, Richie called out to the two girls who seemed to want to stay at the dancing machine.
“We’ll do one more dance and then we’ll join y’all!”
Anna called out to Richie. Richie gave her a thumbs up and left with the rest of the group. Anna looked at Lisa and they both started chuckling.
“Two games then we go to them.”
Anna nodded and started looking for a dance they could play.
“Absolutely, it’s not everyday this machine is available to play.”
“To think it’s usually us that are waiting for this machine to be open.”
Lisa looked around to see another pair of girls staring at them. Anna gasped, which cause Lisa to look away from the other girls and look at Anna.
“What?”
“They have Lady Gaga here, we NEED to play at least one of her songs.”
“Alright but-“
Before Lisa could continue her sentence, she spotted Anna’s ex boyfriend making his way to them.
“Click it, your ex is coming this way.”
Anna made a face and clicked to play the song quickly. As they started, Anna’s ex was close to them.
“Hey Anna, missed me so much you decided to stalk me and follow me to the arcade?”
Anna’s ex laughed and both the girls rolled her eyes.
“I’m not here for you, I’m here with my friends.”
“Yeah and after we’re done playing this game, we’re going to them and as far away from you as possible.”
Anna’s ex scoffed.
“Yeah right, I don’t believe that for a second but since you’re here for me, might as well join me and my friends for dinner.”
“Firstly, it’s my friends and I, not me and my friend. Second, we’re dumb, wouldn’t do something that stupid”
Anna yelled, she stopped dance and Lisa did the same. Both of them got off the machine and started walking away from him. He followed behind them, his friends trailing behind, laughing me.
“Oh come on, don’t be like that you two.”
“Stop talking to us!”
Lisa yelled at him and turned to whisper to Anna
“Should we leave? We’ll text the friend group, I’m sure they’d understand.”
Anna nodded and pulled out her phone to do just that. The ex heard Lisa though, an angry expression on his face as he came to a halt.
“Fine leave…”
One of his friends called out to them, in a taunting tone. Which made the two friends shiver and run out the door, not caring about the rain or that it was dark, one thing rang through their minds as they now walk in darkness.
“Be careful out there~”
