Gasoline And A Match
Your getting worse. You come home drunk, staggering, and falling, cursing your brains out . Your like a mad man.You make me feel belittled and degraded . Your Violent to me, can’t take the abuse. Pulling my hair, brutally punching me in face.I go to the neighborhood grocery store, where everyone knows me. It’s a small town, so any news travels very fast . The cashier, sees my black eye and bruises. She has seen bruises on me before. I came from a wealthy family, If I left him to go back to my parents, he would kill my parents and myself. His police record speaks for itself. Long rap sheet. Spent 3 years in jail for sellliing drugs. My parents opposed to my marriage immensely. I was embarrassed to admit to them , that they were right! Embarrassed and humiliated, afraid to leave.There was one way to rid him. .All it took was planning .Came home midnight.drunk as usual. Slobbering, vomiting all over. Drinking cheap beer from the can.Cursing and yelling foul obscenities. Trying to start an argument. Another reason to slap me..Why were the potatoes cold tonight?Why isn’t this house clean woman! I’ll kick your butt .He staggered upstairs, tripping on every cracked and broken step. . He was smoking marijuana. The smell was overwhelming. Time to take action .In the shed was gasoline . Quickly, I poured it over him. Then, I lit the match. The fire quickly started. The house engulfed in flames. It was over. I’m at peace..I’m not embarrassed anymore. My conscience rests with no remorse.
