STORY STARTER

One day, an author wakes up in his own fantasy horror story. Fortunately, he knows exactly how to defeat the horrible entity lurking in this realm. Unfortunately…
Plot Twist…
“Well, this could be a problem.” Dex said, looking down.
Fortunately, he knew how to defeat the great evil lurking over the forgotten kingdom. Unfortunately, still looking down, it appeared he had no legs…or arms…or a body in general. He was just a severed head.
Dex blinked—at least, he assumed he did. With no eye lids to speak of, the sensation was more like a phantom twitch, a habit of humanity clinging to the now very much detached head of a man who, just minutes ago had been sitting comfortably in a local coffee shop, typing the final lines of his dark fantasy novel.
The only way to defeat the evil force, was to slice it’s main head off with the Devil Sword once it took form of a three-headed hound— and you only have one shot, after that, the sword breaks.
Dex’s eyes widened. Cut off its main head…he pondered. What if… Dex looked around for an object, any object nearby, where he could see his reflection. Finally, he spotted a shard of shiny metal laying on the cold stone floor, where he could easily make out the face of a massive black hound, eyes glowing red, fur sticking out in every direction, and full of malice.
Dex, teary-eyed, realized there was no way to go back home. Not like this.
“So this is,” Dex said to no one in particular, “How the villains in novels always end up.”
