Sickness
*Repost cuz it got banned! Technically a free write!*
You said
You were “sick”
You’re immune system
Was strong
You never got sick
You were
Sick of the long days
Sick of the people
Sick of the pain
The voices rang in your
Head
But swore
To yourself
You’d never tell
You friends
Unless you’d be dead
So the sickness
Conquered you mind
And your soul
Eyes glassy and
Cold as ever
You smile and laugh
In the center of the circle
But in your quiet room
You sit
Curled into a ball
Comfortable clothes
And loud music
You thought the
Pounding of the drums
Would quite your
Thoughts
The thoughts that you want to stop
But the voices are yelling
And screaming
They are talking to you
They want you to listen
Please
I’m begging
Ignore their cries because
They aren’t suffering
Or even in pain
They will eventually go away
Unless you let them stay
I know it’s hard
But you must ignore the screams
They don’t really care about
You
Believe me
I’m pleading
I need you here with me
Stay with me
Please
I need you
Please
Stay
I love you
Ignore this: “Be careful out there.”
