Wings
I sit in the park
As I always do
On my bench
What is new
My life is simple
Little room for fun
But when I’m here
I grow wings
Watching birds fly
As they sing
I want to join
And be free
But alas humans
We’re grounded
So I sit and watch
In this peaceful park
Dreaming of freedom
That is never sought
