I get up in the morning Get all dressed up and ready The picture perfect person With a beautiful little life I sit all alone But will achieve greatness Because that’s what’s expected I get all A+s Anything less is a failure I’m polite and quite quiet The model student And when school is over And all extracurriculars are done I go back home Straight to my room I take off the facade I sit there and stare I only eat at school Just to be normal At home I just sit In the darkness and silence Sometimes I cry Others I scream On occasions I cut But don’t be alarmed Everything is just As it is meant to be
