Behind me

I stood

Shaded empty

My body knew only darkness

And subtle imitations

Of myself

But last night

As lights grew

From what rained down

And blew up my house

I woke up sleeping

Etched to the streets

The flashing flame

burned me free from myself

I needed no body

Nor light to exist

I remained on the street

Even when light turned to smoke

And smoke into mushrooms

Even when colored skies turned black

I still remained

Ahead laid ash

Behind I stayed unmoving

Remembering what was

Trapped in what is

For gods wrath rained last night

But i stood

By myself
