Write a story with an unexpected twist.
Consider the length of your story. It does not need to reach the max word limit to include a twist. One sentence can be enough. Consider, too, that a twist is not always a revelation, but can be subtle.
Maybe I’m Nothing
Her and me
Wrapped around your fingers
What a tragedy
One always just a little more deserving
Tell me
Did you mean to hurt me?
Was it intentional?
Cause I can’t tell
Or maybe I just want to avoid reality
Because you really meant a lot to me
But words deceive
And your body and the things you do
They tell me the truth
I mean nothing to you.
